Born May 2014 Howie was found outside covered in fleas and extremely weak.  He's been neutered, received a leukemia/FIV test in which he is negative, received his vaccines, bèen flea treated and dewormed.   He has an amazingly sweet personality.  He loves cuddling and very seldom uses his claws even when he's playing...and he LOVES to play! He would make a great companion for just about anyone.  Good with kids, other kittys, and dogs that are respectful.    UPDATE September 2014 After noticing he didn't jump and play like a normal kitten, we had him checked out at the vet and he has double luxating patellas. This means that on both of his back legs, his knee caps regularly pop in and out of place with physical activity. This damages the cartilage as well as causes him pain, so he needs to have some major orthopedic surgery on both back legs. The left leg is ranked 4/4, the right leg is ranked 3/4. Poor guy, this is very uncommon, especially in such a young kitten. When you work in rescue, you just never know what you're going to see. The low end of the estimate is $1,530.04.  That is the amount the veterinarian will need upfront to do the surgery.  The expected outcome of the surgery is a NORMAL LIFE with no pain for Howie!!!  Please consider making a donation so Howie can have his surgery and feel like a normal kitten!
